This long-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Goleta, California.What you get to do every day:Capture numerical and financial information to create financial records.Verify the accuracy of financial data entry to ensure precision.Record journal entries for both debit and credit transactions in the company's accounts.Produce accounting and audit reports encompassing cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profit and loss statements.Identify and address discrepancies or issues detected in financial records during the reconciliation process.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting structure and general ledger.Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.Offer guidance to staff on the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.Collaborate with the tax accountant to facilitate a smooth and timely year-end audit.Assist in bi-weekly and special payroll processing as needed.Collaborate with operations/purchasing to monitor inventory and conduct auditing tasks.Aid the CEO and other department members in special projects and workflow process enhancements.Support administration by managing weekly grocery orders, deliveries, and occasional catering for meetings and events.Assist administration with periodic coordination of facilities needs and scheduling.Facilitate occasional event planning for company events and meetings.Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.
